How "Include Medical History in Notes" Works
Regardless of settings, the Medical History is set to appear in all Initial or Complete Evals.
In the Preferences section (accessible from the Chart Room) there is a setting which asks "Include Medical History in all notes: Yes No."
How that preference is set will determine if the medical history is included in progress notes for that patient. If it is set as "yes" the box on Progress Note two will be marked to "Include Medical History in note; x yes." If left checked as "yes", the Medical History will appear in the progress note and in all subsequent progress notes.
But, how ever the preference is set, it can be overrode while a progress note is being made. That is, the "Include Medical History in note" on PN 2 can be checked or unchecked by the user at any time. Once it is checked or unchecked it will be carried forward to the next note in the same way and can be unchecked or checked in any subsequent note.

Please Use "Log Off" Button
When exiting ICANotes please use the "Log Off" button which is in the upper left corner of the Chart Room. This will prevent certain problems, such as getting a blank grey screen when you first log in.

How to Enable Cut and Paste
When you open Remote Desktop Connection, before connecting, click on Options. When Options opens, use the local resources tab and enable Clipboard and Printer.
If you don't see what I am describing please get the latest version of RDC. Or look around your options tabs as the function may be somewhere else.

August 31 Upgrade
IMPORTANT INFO REGARDING AUGUST 31 SYSTEM UPGRADE
There were 3 major updates to our system performed over the Labor Day holiday weekend.
*Network upgrade
*Terminal server platform upgrade
*Screwdrivers upgrade
We regret any inconvenience these changes may cause but these updates will fix some of the various printing and connection problems we have had.
HOW THIS MIGHT AFFECT YOU:
1. First: Please Note:
There is a glitch in the system where some users may have to enter their username/password combination up to 3 times before login is successful. If you enter your username and password and are then brought back to the legal notice, then please enter it again. We are working on this.
2. If you are having trouble connecting please do the following:
Connect using Remote Desktop Connection, as follows:
RDC is in your Start Menu, All Programs, Accessories. (It might be in the Communications Folder inside Accessories.)
Open RDC. In the "Computer" field type "internet.icanotes.com" Hit connect.
If RDC does not work or if you do not have RDC, you need to download the latest version.

Go to start->all programs->accessories->communications->Remote Desktop Connection
Click Options. Type "internet.icanotes.com" in the Computer box. Type in your ICANotes username and "internet" in the Domain box. Click connect. You will be prompted for your password.
If, for some reason, you cannot use RDC (perhaps for Hospital security reasons) and desire to connect via Internet Explorer, you may need to follow the directions below:
If your computer does not automatically receive Microsoft updates then you may not be able to connect using Internet Explorer. You must have Windows XP SP3 or Windows Vista SP1. Also, if you have not followed our connection instructions and added the connect page to your Internet Explorer trusted sites, you will not be able to print.
3. Trouble Printing:
If you don't have the latest Screwdriver, you will not be able to print. The Screwdrivers update can be manually updated by downloading and installing the Screwdrivers installer from the downloads section of our website.
If you have installed the Screwdrivers update and continue to have problems, then please follow the instructions here.
If you are still unable to connect, the old connect page can be reached here:
